On the Norway reportage

I’ve been loath to do anything on the Norway tragedy just because of the enormity of the situation. It’s too hard and too awful almost to comprehend, and then to put that into words…?

However, I think the Australian media has done an excellent, sensitive job on bringing that story back home to us, halfway across the world. It’s not a sanitised account but at the same time, not hyped-up either. Take Danielle Isdale’s report from last night. I can’t help but think this might be her life-changing story. She’s done an excellent job.

My best wishes are with the people of Norway as they come to terms with the horror they never deserved. No one did or does.
